What’s the difference?
You’ve gotten the spiel about Independent Living versus Assisted Living a dozen times by now, right?
Independent Living is for “seniors that still live independently but want to be in a senior community with access to dining, activities, transportation, housekeeping, maintenance-free homes.” Assisted Living is “a great option for seniors that want to maintain an independent lifestyle but may need some help with daily activities such as medication management, assistance with bathing, grooming and/or dressing, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, and activities.”
Sure, but what does that actually mean? How many meals will your AL mom get? Will your IL dad get to keep his car? Should your IL or AL parents plan on cooking their meals? What is the plan?
Don’t worry. We have answers.
We created a guide that explains the care amenities for Independent Living and Assisted Living. You can see it below and save it for your own records. If you have any other questions, send us an email or give us a call.
