The Longevity of Our Staff
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the average length of time people work at one company is 4.1 years. To qualify as a long-term employee, one must work at the same company for over 5 years.
At Canterfield Senior Living, nearly half of our employees can be considered long-term, and some have been with us since our grand opening!
Our long-term employees are central to life at Canterfield. They have celebrated dozens of holidays with each resident; built a large community in and outside of campus by hosting annual parties, grief support groups, dementia support groups, masquerade balls, and proms with the local high schools; established connections with rehab centers and hospitals; and provided a well of knowledge and support to our residents’ families and incoming staff.
Canterfield wouldn’t be the home that you know and love without our kind, generous, intelligent, long-term staff members, and we can’t thank them enough for making Canterfield their home.
